Located on the North River in Mathews County,
Virginia, Kingston Plantation is surrounded by large shade trees, sweeping lawns and
flower beds that continue to water’s edge. Kingston offers a distinct backdrop
from which to host your function with two hundred acres of manicured lawns and
gardens, 1700 feet of river frontage, as well as pristine
natural areas.
Kingston’s 10,000 square feet
of living area features six fireplaces, random width hardwood flooring, oriental
rugs, beautiful antiques, fine art collections and other notable pieces. The 950
square foot family room is warm and inviting with stained oak paneling. A large
wet bar and twelve foot bay window overlook formal gardens and a panoramic view
of the river. Intricate crown moldings, mahogany paneling and a marble fireplace
are highlights of Kingston Plantation’s library.
The charming second floor veranda is a favorite
gathering place overlooking the water and rear gardens. Below, a pathway through
natural areas continues over a bridge through a gazebo to the swimming pool and
tennis court. An alternate path leads to the dock where one can enjoy the area’s
waterways.
Three suites and two rooms with adjoining bath
are available for guests at Kingston. Also available next door, a separate
carriage house with a large living room, kitchen, bedroom and bath offers more
privacy.
Kingston Plantation specializes in weddings,
receptions, reunions and corporate events. Groups of up to 650 may be
accommodated under the festive white tents that cover the brick patio and lawns. A
marquee covers an adjoining patio providing movement from
the family room to the main tent without exposure to inclement weather.
Additional protection is provided by clear side curtains that can be drawn as
necessary.
At Kingston Plantation, the warm hospitality of our
owner/manager Mrs. Ann Foster, combines with a serene environment and stunning
landscape to provide a fairytale setting for anyone desiring an elegant and
